The War Between Us. Part 2

Chapter 1

Sonic and I stood next to Zoom's gravestone. Rain fell from the sky like little bullets; smashing into the dirt that surrounded his grave. I rested my head against Sonic's chest and put my hands around his waist. He hugged me back and whispered into my ear "Everything is going to be okay Amy".

10 years from today our son Zoom had been brutally murdered by Eggman, since then the Doctor himself had gone into hiding. I hated him. We both hated him. I looked upwards at the sky, the weather was slowly beginning to get worse as it began to rain hail. 

"Amy we have to go" Sonic said softly. 

I wiped a tear from off my cheek and said "Okay, I'm ready". We steadily began to make our way out of the graveyard. I looked up at Sonic, his face was tense and his eyes were a little watery but that could of easily been the rain.  

I turned to have one last look and I spotted someone in a black hooded cloak next to the grave. "Sonic.. Who is that?" I asked confusingly. 

Sonic spun around and stared at the hooded figure. "You don't think it's Eggman ?" he growled angrily.

Before I could stop him he had already started running back towards the graveyard. "Wait.. It might not be him" I yelled but he had already confronted it.

I watched from a distance as Sonic stood face-to-face with the person. What was going on? I had to get closer. I ran towards them at full speed, my spikes nearly covering my eyes. "Amy don't come any further" Sonic said seriously. 

"No. What is it?" I asked as I came behind the hooded figure. As soon as I finished my sentence it turned around; causing its hood to fall down to its shoulders. 

My eyes widened as I fell backwards onto the ground. "Is this some kind of sick joke?" I asked bewilderingly as I backed away from him. 

The figure looked at me and said "No. It's really me. It's Zoom".
